Alarm systems

Alarm installation and upgrades in Perth.

Get alerted to doors opening or movement in selected areas. Alarm installation and upgrades for Perth homes and businesses, planned around your routine.

Planned for your property

Protection that fits your routine

Start with the entrances and rooms you want covered. We consider daily routines, pets and any existing equipment, then recommend suitable sensors and controls.

What to keep in mind. Performance depends on detector placement, settings and regular checks. App alerts need working communications and do not provide professional monitoring or emergency response.

Alarm zones, sensors and arming modes

A zone identifies a detector or monitored area, such as a door or garage. Zones are configured for their purpose, including entry delays and whether they remain active in a supported home or stay mode.

Door contacts detect opening; motion detectors respond to changes within their coverage. Placement, environmental conditions, pets and wireless signal quality affect suitability. Wired, wireless or mixed equipment is selected after the site and any existing system are assessed.

What your system can do

Detect activity. Know what to check.

01

Use it at home or away

Set the whole system when you leave, or selected areas while you are inside, where the equipment supports it.

02

Cover doors and rooms

Door sensors detect opening; movement sensors watch selected areas. We choose suitable devices and sirens for your property.

03

Check what triggered an alert

A nearby camera can help you see what happened. Automatic links between the alarm and cameras require compatible equipment and setup.

04

Notify the right people

Choose who receives supported alerts and agree what to do when one arrives. App alerts do not arrange an operator or emergency response.

Detection, notifications and response arrangements

A configured alarm event can activate the connected siren and send supported notifications to nominated accounts. The communication path may use the property’s network or a supported mobile-data connection.

Linked camera views require compatible devices and configuration. An alert is a request to check what happened; it does not prove an intrusion or dispatch an operator, patrol or emergency service.

Agree who will receive alerts and how they will respond. If an existing monitoring provider is involved, confirm their testing and response arrangements before deliberately activating an alarm.

Before equipment is selected

Plan detection, alerts and response

Choose what needs detecting, who receives alerts and how they will respond.

Wired, wireless or an upgrade?

We check existing equipment and cables, then recommend suitable sensors and controls for your property.

Backup power and communications

Battery backup can run connected equipment for a limited time. A supported mobile-data connection can provide another way to send alerts; coverage and ongoing service charges apply.

Ongoing checks

Check controls, alerts and faults as instructed. Batteries need servicing or replacement when required.

Who receives the alerts?

If your existing system uses a separate monitoring provider, confirm testing and response arrangements with that provider before triggering an alarm.

Battery backup and mobile-data connections

Battery backup supplies the equipment connected to it for a limited time. Runtime depends on battery condition, capacity and the system load; it does not automatically power the router, cameras or other equipment.

Cellular backup is a separate communication path through a mobile network. It requires compatible hardware, coverage, a powered hub and an active service. It can help with supported alarm communications but does not restore the property’s internet connection.

Check batteries and communication faults according to the equipment instructions. Any ongoing connection charges and backup equipment are identified in the agreed scope.

Optional 4G connectivity for your alarm hub

Add a supplied data SIM, activation, connection testing and ongoing SIM support for $25.00 per month including GST. The 100MB monthly allowance is for supported alarm data on a compatible 4G hub. This service does not include professional alarm monitoring or patrol response.

SIM allowance, compatibility and ongoing service

The supplied SIM provides mobile data to a compatible 4G alarm hub. Where the hub supports it and is configured accordingly, this can provide an alternative path to its primary network connection.

The 100MB monthly allowance is intended for supported alarm data, not routine camera streaming. Activation and connection testing do not provide professional alarm monitoring or patrol response.

The hub still needs power, suitable mobile coverage and an active service. Refer to the service terms for the applicable arrangements; requesting information does not activate a subscription.
